Dina Piccioni

Labor Doula | Postpartum Doula

I always knew I had a passion for supporting women with birth and babies, and when I watched my daughter in law and son go through their pregnancy acting a doula, I knew what I wanted to do. I have raised my own 3 children and been a daycare provider for 19 years. I raised many babies in my daycare so it was a natural transition for me after taking my doula training. I myself could have benefited from a doula with my own pregnancies.

I enjoy being there for families for comfort measures, physical and emotional support and advocacy. Trying to make each family have the birth they want is most important for me as well as preparing them for changes that can happen during labor. Being a doula for families is very fulfilling for me.

Brittany Meyers

When she began to enter the doula world, it became almost immediately clear that she is following a calling. Brittany's desire is to be a professional who can touch the lives of families of all kinds beyond just birth; and to truly impact the local community. The word Doula is derived from the phrase “a woman who serves”, and that is who she intends to be!

Becky Quest

Infant Care Specialist | Postpartum Doula

It has been the greatest joy of my career to work with new families to ensure that they have the best possible start and are able to reach their maximum potential as a family unit.

My role as a postpartum doula is to be a trustworthy companion to parents, helping them identify their baby's needs and identifying tailored, nurturing solutions to meet those needs.

I bring 17 years of early childhood educational experience to my work as a doula. As an early childhood educator, I managed a classroom of six infants and toddlers, splitting my time between caring for the infants and developing/ implementing the curriculum for the preschool-aged children. During my time as a preschool teacher, I met and worked with so many young families just finding their way, and became increasingly passionate about providing more direct support to these new families.

Helping families and especially mothers to practice self care while making a rhythm and schedule that fits with their child is of the utmost importance during this new and exciting, while sometimes overwhelming time. It is always my goal that mothers feel heard, their wishes and concerns met openly and with serious merit, and that they are able to rest and watch their baby thrive!

Jenny Corbett

Labor Doula | Postpartum Doula | Placenta Specialist

Jenny Corbett is a DONA certified Birth Doula and an APPA Certified Placenta Arts Specialist with over 6 years of experience serving families in the DC area. She has attended over a hundred births, and served almost 200 families postpartum as a placenta arts specialist.

Jenny completed her DONA certification in 2013 and maintains her certification though various continuing eduction opportunities. She has completed trainings for Spinning Babies, Comforting Touch for Doulas, rebozo work, breastfeeding support, and hypnosis for childbirth.

Theatre was my first love and my passion for as long as I can remember…and then I gave birth. And nothing was the same. I still love the theatre, but is doesn’t light the fire under me that it used to.

The birth of my first child, at home in 2009 ignited a passion in me for birth and babies. I thought this obsession would fade as my own childbearing time came to a close, however, after my son was born in 2011, I realized my passion for birth was a calling I need to follow. The midwives that attended my first two births gave me a wonderful gift. Two beautiful, peaceful home births and a bottomless well of confidence in the power of my own body. I was lucky enough to have a third birth with these amazing women in January of 2016. The fact that I had worked side by side with them as members of the same birth team during my years as a doula made the experience even more joyful the third time around!

These empowering births left me with a deep desire to “pay it forward” by serving women who desire to have their voices heard as they give birth.

Jennifer Harris

Infant Care Specialist | Sleep Trainer | Postpartum Doula

As a mother of two and trained and certified infant care specialist, I'm passionate about sleep and shaping infants to sleep within a supported feeding relationship, whether breast or bottle.

We hired Jennifer as a recommendation from another family member who used her for sleep training.

I wasn’t sure at first how I was going to like it as I am absolutely NOT a cry it out type mom. Jennifer was clear on what We needed to do and wrote up a plan. We had a few rough nights but honestly, our 11 month old baby girl is now sleeping from 8pm-6am and naps have been good as well. Even though they were subtle changes, I stuck with the plan and so far we are doing great! Our baby who is 11 mos now used to wake every 2 hours or so throughout the night and 3am was the worst, I’d end up putting her in our bed just to get some sleep but we haven’t put our daughter in the bed once since starting Jennifer’s plan and there was only a few nights that were rough.

I would absolutely recommend Jennifer and if your having a baby with sleep issues don’t hesitate to hire her! Totally worth it!!

Irene Kim

Labor Doula | Childbirth Educator

Irene is a certified Bradley® Instructor and Doula with experience teaching over 100 parents-to-be. She has attended over 50 births and has provided postpartum support to many of these families as well. Along with ongoing Bradley® education each year, Irene has completed trainings for Spinning Babies, Rebozo training, and Comfort Measures training.

Irene was born and raised in the DC metropolitan area and takes great joy and pride in connecting with expecting parents in her hometown to be a stepping stone on their way to building their beautiful families. She and her husband Daniel got married back in 2010, got trained through the Bradley® Method, and had three amazing and natural births with their children, Micah, Kindle, and Moses. Since then, she cannot help but to prepare, encourage, and teach other parents about the beauty of birth.

When Irene is not busy with birthwork, she enjoys serving her church and community, writing, taking jogs, spending time with family, hosting friends at her home, and performing song and dance privately for her children. Irene is also passionate about orphan care both locally and globally and often has a foster child (or two or three) in her home in addition to her three. She truly believes in the saying, "it takes a village."

I highly recommend Irene’s birth classes and doula support! She was patient, calm, nonjudgemental, and extremely helpful before, during, and even after the birth. We were so thankful to have worked with her. Through Irene, we gained the knowledge, confidence, and support to have an unmedicated labor. It was particularly helpful to learn about the different stages of labor in her class as it allowed us to be more aware of what was happening to my body as I experienced each stage. We were initially unsure if we wanted to work with a doula, but looking back at the experience we had with Irene, we both agree that it was one of the best decisions we made!... Even my midwife and the nurse were asking who she was because they were so impressed with her knowledge and skill!
